Review:
Quick: name the sexiest and most popular pornstars that you can think of. Done? Ok, now I’m willing to bet that your list probably included Jenna Jameson, Tera Patrick and Briana Banks. You may even have thought of Kobe Tai, Tawny Roberts, Savannah or Lanny Barby. Not much of a magic trick. I mean, these are some of the most amazing starlets to ever get banged on screen for our pleasure, and they all have something in common: at one time or another, every one of them was signed to an exclusive contract with Vivid entertainment, quite possibly the most impressive stable of whores ever assembled.
Taking a look at the free tour of Vivid is an awe inspiring experience. I mean, we’re talking about the women that I’ve grown so much wood for that I could build a boat. The Vivid Girls have been in my dreams, in my fantasies and in my heart and now here they are all in one place: on a website for me to review and enjoy. Yeah, I’m pretty excited about this one, fellas. There are a bunch of glamour pics of the Vivid Girls on the tour, but no preview videos for us to check out. I guess we’ll just have to go straight into the members’ section so that we can get the goods. So, with no further delay…
The members’ section of Vivid is, at first, actually quite confusing. You can see the recent updates in a column on the right, but the rest of the page has a series of ads, and other assorted distractions. What you want are the tabs at the top of the page that’ll get you to “Vivid Girls”, “Movies”, “Photos”, “Behind the Scenes” and “Extras”. This is where you find gold on this site, and I made a beeline straight for their database of girls. There are 65 supreme sluts here to choose from, including some of the most stunning starlets the industry has ever seen. No matter what your taste in women, you’ll find several here that make your eyes open just a little wider and make your pants feel just a little bit tighter.
I started with Tawny Roberts, one of my personal faves. There were 19 movies and a whole truck load of pics to choose from. Of course, when I say that there were 19 videos, I mean that there were 19 full length DVDs available to stream. The pictures weren’t available as .zip sets, which I found odd, but were otherwise high quality. Tawny herself looked fantastic, of course. The videos were made up of Vivid produced content that has been released on DVD, so there was nothing here that is exclusive to this site, but do you think that prevented me from enjoying watching her get ripped? Nope, not even a little bit.
Of course, what did bring me down from my cloud was the delivery of the movie. When you watch a DVD on Vivid, it opens in a small playback window. And I mean, small (only 320x240). They can be viewed full screen, but the resolution isn’t high enough to avoid serious quality issues when you make the image that big. Plus, the only way to get the DVD on your hard drive is to either rent or purchase the DVD. Even though you are a member, there are no video downloads included. That pissed me off.
Overall, Vivid does still boast the best girls in the industry, but when you can find most of these clips elsewhere (and in bigger resolutions), it’s hard for me to get too carried away. Of course, you can stream all of the vivid titles here, and they’ve had their share of great films. I’ll still give the site a recommendation, but it could have been so much better than this.
